Food wastage is a huge issue and we are passionate about making a difference, by providing products that enhance the choices families and individuals can make to waste less, be more environmentally conscious and to lead healthier lives.

- There is enough food produced in the world to feed everyone.
- One third of all food produced is lost or wasted – around 1.3 billion tonnes of food, which costs the global economy approximately $940 billion each year.
- One in nine people do not have enough food to eat; this equates to 793 million people who are undernourished.
- If one quarter of the food currently lost or wasted could be saved, it would be enough to feed 870 million hungry people.
- Almost half of all fruit and vegetables produced are wasted.

- The Government estimates food waste costs the Australian economy $20 billion each year.
- Over 5 million tonnes of food ends up as landfill from households and the commercial sector.
- One in five shopping bags end up in the bin = $1,050 worth of groceries for the average household each year.
- 35% of the average household bin is food waste.
- 3.6 million people experienced food insecurity in the last year.
- The Australian Government has a target of food wastage reduction of 50% by 2030.
